We’re proud to announce KTSW 89.9 has 5 finalists in the College Broadcasters, Inc. National Student Production Awards! The current and former student staff finalists are as follows:

  • Best PSA: Halloween Safety PSA (Sam Zamora) & Writing Center PSA (Sam Zamora, Juan Garcia Marino)
  • Best Newscast/Sportscast: Sportscast November 2021 (Khalid Alhareth, Kyle Owen)
  • Best Sports Show: Bobcat Radio May 6, 2022 (Host: Gage Sutton, Producer: Nolan Phillips, Co-Host: Jacob Aromy and Jaysen Collins)
  • Best Sports Play-by-Play: San Marcos vs. Round Rock Westwood High School Basketball Playoffs Round 1 – February 22, 2022

The awards ceremony will be held at the College Broadcasters, Inc. National Student Electronic Media Convention October 26-29 in Baltimore, MD. Congratulations to all the students nominated, and we wish you luck in the competition!
