Journalism Professor Addresses Teen Suicide Crisis with Book Reading and Panel Discussion in El Paso

Associate Professor of Practice Eraldo “Dino” Chiecchi read from and signed his book “Josue: A Young Man’s Life Lost to Suicide” at an event in El Paso, Texas, on Feb. 3. More than 70 people attended Chiecchi’s presentation at La Fe Cultural and Technology Center. The book reading and signing were followed by a panel discussion with experts on mental health and suggestions on how to stem the teen suicide epidemic. The mother and sister of Josue, the subject of Chiecchi’s book, were in attendance.
