Student Media Wins 30 Awards At 2018 Conference

The University Star, KTSW and Bobcat Update students recently won multiple awards during the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association (TIPA) annual conference held from March 21-24, 2018.

The Texas Intercollegiate Press Association (TIPA) is the oldest collegiate media organization in the country, which consists of 77 public and private two-year colleges and four-year universities in Texas that teach journalism or have existing or planned student publications. The annual awards honor excellence in student media. Forty-four schools and more than 400 delegates attended the annual conference in Dallas.

Texas State student media members and contributors competed in Division I, which included Abilene Christian, Baylor, SMU, Texas A&M, TCU, Texas Tech, University of North Texas, UT-Arlington, UT-Dallas, UT-El Paso and UT-Rio Grande Valley.
