Digital Media and Communications Internship Overview

The Digital Media and Communications Intern will assist with:
• Creating content for social media, web, and email
• Basic photo and video capture
• Event preparation and on-site coordination for programs such as Bobcat Days and    award events
• Drafting communication materials
• Organizing digital files and media assets

This is a strong portfolio-building opportunity for students interested in digital media, creative content, or strategic communication.

Credit Options
Students must be full-status SJMC majors in good academic standing to receive MC internship credit.
• MC 4130: 1 credit hour, minimum 100 hours
• MC 4230: 2 credit hours, minimum 150 hours
• MC 4330: 3 credit hours, minimum 180 hours

Approximate weekly time commitments for 180 hours:
• 15-week semester: about 12 hours per week
• 10-week semester: about 18 hours per week
• 8-week semester: about 22.5 hours per week
