Mass Comm Week is an annual conference hosted by the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Texas State University. Each year, students connect with alumni, media professionals, and industry leaders through panels, workshops, class visits, and networking events.
Since 1990, Mass Comm Week has helped students explore career paths, learn from working professionals, and engage with current issues shaping journalism, advertising, public relations, digital media, electronic media, and mass communication.
Hear from professionals across media, communication, and creative industries.
Learn about current trends, tools, workplace expectations, and career paths.
Connect with alumni, faculty, visiting speakers, student organizations, and peers.
Attend sessions, ask questions, cover events, and share your experience online.
The D.D. Hachar Visiting Hispanic Media Professionals Program brings Laredo students to Texas State during Mass Communication Week to tour media facilities, attend presentations, and engage with industry professionals. Since 2004, the program has introduced many first-generation, college-bound students to campus life.
